Graduation vs. “A-G” College Requirements

What if I receive a ‘D’ of ‘F’ in Math or Language Other Than English

•Validation: You will still meet the subject requirement for Math or LOTE (Chemistry for CSUs only)– If you earned a ‘D’ the first semester, and earned an ‘A, B, or C’ in the second semester.

•If you repeat a class that you received a “D” in you will not receive credit for it twice, however your chances of succeeding in a higher level course are slim.

WARNING: If you validate, the “D or F” will still be calculated in your GPA.

What if I receive a ‘D’ or ‘F’?• D grades must be repeated for A-G requirements( 4 year college)• F grades must be repeated for A-G and graduation

•What are my options for credit recovery or grade improvement?

–Summer School (priority to rising Seniors, Juniors & then Sophomores)

–Odysseyware Academy: online, FREE

–CACE-night school, 2 days a week. (English and Social Science Only- Non A-G)

–Community College-must be approved by Counselor, low cost( 20$ HEALTH FEE)

–NOTE: UCs and CSUs DO NOT accept ONLINE lab science

IMPORTANT: ANY COURSE TAKEN OUTSIDE OF WESTMONT MUST BE APPROVED. PICK UP APPROVAL FORM FROM YOUR COUNSELOR.
