Why Lasers?
‐ Every CD or DVD burner has a laser inside.‐More than 10 different kinds of lasers are used to make a car.‐ Lasers are used to treat many diseases.‐ Lasers help us understand nature!‐ Telecommunication links are mostly based on lasers.‐ They save your time in supermarkets.

What is a LASER?LASER is an acronym for“Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”
If a medium has many excited molecules, one photon can become many, through the process called “stimulated emission”.
Stimulated emission yields “coherent” radiation.
