Students gain basic and advanced
knowledge in digital photography,
commercial photography, portrait
photography, architectural
photography and photojournalism,
along with editing processes.
FINISH YOUR AAS DEGREE IN

In DMACC’s Photography Program, students will use
professional, state-of-the-art photography equipment
to build fundamental skills needed to create portraits,
product photography, and corporate photography.

DMACC students get hands-on instruction in the studio and on location to build their skills and help their talent shine.
David Purdy has extensivecommercial photography, studio and editorial photography experience. In 2005, Purdy and the Sun Herald (Biloxi, MS) staff received the Gold Medal Pulitzer Prize for valorous coverage of Hurricane Katrina. David’s work has been published in Time, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, USA Today, and New York Times. David works one on one with students to guide them in the studio and classroom.
