THE HISTORY

The president of the Philippines

is President Aquino in 2014.

Ferdinand Marcos was the

tpresident in 1965.

In November 2013 there was a

typoon called yollanda it killed a

thousand of people.

MONUMENT FOR DR. RIZAL

A Monument honoring the

author and philippines hero

Dr.Jose Rizal was built in manila.

The monument statue of Rizal

and a plaque with one of his

poetry.

It says: Mi ultimo adios or my

complete goodbye.

THE NATIONAL DANCE

The philippines national dance is called tinikling .

The Movements of birds inspire many traditional

filipino dances of the heron. They imitate the heron-

like tinikling gracefully and speedily walks beetween

tree branches.

THE NATIONAL FLOWER

Sampaguita is the nationall flower of the

philippines.

It is shaped like a star shaped blossom.

It has a sweet fragrance. It opens at night and is

droopless.

NATIONAL FRUIT

Mango is the national fruit of Philippines.

It is green when it’s not ripe.

It’s color changes to yellow when it is

ripe and the mango tastes sour when it’s

not ripe.

OFFICIAL SPORTS

The philippines’ official sports are

boxing and basketball.

The famous boxer is Many Pacquau.

He is the best boxer in the Philippines.

Boxers used to fighting with other

boxers and the boxers that beat him is

the winner.

FLAG MEANING

The white stands for peace purity.

The white triangle represent equality and

nationalist organization.

The sun represent independence and it’s eight rays

represent the eight provinces that led Philippines

uprising against the Spanish.

The three stars stand for the three main

geographical regions: Luzon Mindanao and Visayas.

LANGUAGE

The Philippines have two language

one is English.

And the other language is Tagalog.

PEOPLE

The people in people are called

Filipinos.

They speak English and Tagalog.

More than half the of the people

speak Tagalog.

ABOUT THE AUTHORHI! My name is Julyzhia I am from the

Philippines.

I speak Tagalog at home and English at school.
