people assess desirability, goodness and beauty.

• 2. Are statements about what ought to be.

purposes of social action. • 4. Values also extols questions of

morality and what is desirable and important in the society.

Values• 5. Values influence a person’s

behavior.• 6. Values can be seen, be applied

and be imitated from a consensus of peoples, through travellers, missionaries, journalists, social scientists, educators and others.
