The Pirelli ITLA is a digitally controlled module that allows
network equipment manufacturers to integrate tunable laser sources
into their systems, reducing time-to-market and development costs.
At the core of the ITLA is Pirelli’s DTL, a high
performance external cavity laser capable of tuning over100 channels and designedto meet the requirements oftoday’s high-channel countDWDM metro and regional
telecommunications systems.
With Pirelli’s ITLA,the operator
is capable of fully exploitingthe network. One Pirelli ITLA
can replace each fixedtransmitter, thus dramatically
reducing inventory andsparing costs.
The tunable laser, TelcordiaGR-468-CORE qualified,
does not require moving partsto achieve tunability.
