DESCRIPTION
The publication documents an exhibition displaying two aspects of Calle’s work, a video collaboration with her estranged husband, Gregory Shephard, and 14 photographs with texts from the series Autobiographical Stories. The video recounts a cross-country car trip with her then husband and the photographic work explores issues of gender and romantic possibility, truth and fiction. Includes an essay by Stephanie Smith and documentation on the artist’s career. (Exhibition on view October 1 – November 27, 1994)
