Certification Concerns

• Several certifications have emerged as high performance cleaning system

• Designed to clean quicker, and with Green principles

• Most require buildings to be certified and the certification must be paid for each building and resubmitted for future “evaluation”

One Problem

• However, there is a dirtylittle secret that you also get when you become “certified”

• Peroxide based multi-purpose cleaner and a disinfectant covers most all needs

• Hillyards Suprox is good choice• Eliminates chemical mistakes and overuse• 50% cost savings to LBOS • Green Seal certified

HP Vacuums

• High performance backpack or hip style vacuums• High filtration, high suction• 50%+ more efficient than uprights• Far and away the best way to get dirt out of a building• ProTeam and Kent has good options

HP Dusting

• Microfiber cloths and microfiber duster utilized• Goal is to get dirt out of building NOT spreading it

through the air

HP Mopping

• Rubbermaid Pulse Mop is top choice• Eliminates need to empty dirty water and wash mop

Mats at Doorways

• Since most dirt is walked into buildings, we have an opportunity to catch a good portion of it on a mat

Documentation

• Simple form that verifies that the LBO is using the 7 strategies • Important to maintain the adherence to the Performance Plus

system• Any found inconsistencies should be addressed with LBO

immediately

• LBO and CW must have very high compliance to meet and benefit from Performance Plus

Performance Plus LBO

• LBOs can also get certified as a Performance Plus vendor

• If so certified, they agree to perform IAW Performance Plus guidelines in the designated building

• They also agree to participate in the Performance Plus training module for LBOs

Why LBOs

• CW wants good LBOs that can perform at a higher level both from a cleaning and performance standard

• Performance Plus LBOs allow CW to bid at a higher rate and allow the LBO to be more profitable

• PP LBOs will quickly become preferred LBOs

ROI for LBO

• It will cost more to get the PP designation as an LBO• However the payback period and ROI are amazing for

PP LBOs that FULLY implement the program
