Term  of  Employment:  

This  position  is  seasonal,  extending  mid-­‐July  to  October  1,  with  the  possibility  of  continuing  through  the  month  of  October.  It  is  part-­‐time,  requiring  15-­‐25  hours  a  week  as  projects  arise.  Applicant  must  hold  to  the  doctrine  and  constitution/by-­‐laws  of  the  Boise  Rescue  Mission,  be  a  regular  attendee  of  a  local  church  and  be  willing  to  sign  and  adhere  to  the  Mission’s  Statement  of  Faith.      

Job  Purpose:    

Assisting  with  the  creation  and  distribution  of  communication  materials  for  Boise  Rescue  Mission  Ministries  and  ensuring  that  all  communication  is  consistent  with  the  organization’s  brand,  mission,  and  values.  

Key  Responsibilities:    

Format  provided  written  content  and  photos  for  monthly  newsletter    

Communicate  with  printer/mailer  to  ensure  timely  production  and  postage  of  monthly  newsletter  

Create  or  update  existing  brochures,  flyers,  mailers,  or  other  printed  materials  as  needed  

Fulfill  other  design,  creative  duties  as  needed  

Specific  Job  Skills:    

Ideal  candidate  will  be  proficient  with  Adobe  InDesign,  familiar  with  Adobe  Photoshop  and  Adobe  Illustrator,  and  have  basic  knowledge  of  Word  and  Excel  

Appreciates  need  for  consistency  within  organization's  branding    

Ability  to  communicate  and  motivate  via  written  media    

Strong  writing  skills  and  editing  abilities,  preferred  

Experience  with  printing  and  mailing  companies,  helpful  

Self-­‐starter  and  dedicated  worker  

Genuine  interest  and  passion  in  ministry  of  Boise  Rescue  Mission
