1. Handwheel

Can be turned

TOWARD YOU to

raise and lower the needle.

2. Quick Reverse Button or Backstitch Button

Creates backstitching to keep seams from coming

apart.

3. Needle Clamp

Holds the needle in

place.

4. Presser Foot

Holds the fabric in

place while you

sew.

5.Feed Dogs

Teeth that

move the

fabric through

the machine.

6. Bobbin Cover

The bobbin cover is

the white cover that

opens. You insert

the bobbin

and bobbin

case into the

bobbin cover.

7.Vertical & 8.Horizontal Spool Pin

Holds the top spool of thread.

It looks like a staple and is used to help guide the thread when a

bobbin is being wound.

Bobbin Winder Device

Holds the bobbin while

winding.

Bobbin Pretension

Provides tension on the thread

while winding a bobbin.

9. Thread Take Up Lever

Pulls thread

from the spool.

Thread Tension Adjustment Wheel

Controls the tightness on the thread.

10. Presser Foot Lifter

Raises and

lowers the

presser foot.

11. Stitch Plate

The place where seam guide-

lines are located.

12. Foot Pedal

Controls the

speed at which

the fabric moves through

the machine

13. Power Switch

Turns the sewing

machine on or off.

14. Power Cord

Is plugged into the machine and the outlet. If your

machine won’t turn on, it may be

loose.

15. Needle

Carries the

thread and

pierces the

fabric.

16. Bobbin Case

Holds the bobbin and regulates bottom tension

17. Bobbin

Round metal spool which holds the bottom

thread.
