• In Introductory Math Courses: Sustainability examples are easy to add for…Estimation/Fermi problems, Unit Conversions, Calculations, Data Analysis, Modeling Linear and Exponential Growth

• MAA workshops in spring and summer of 2013 generated lots of Sustainability activities

Primary Methodology(Or how does this look in the classroom)

Replace examples used in introductory computing courses (e.g. games, mobile apps) with ones that have a humanitarian appeal: sustainability, humanitarian non-profit, scientific research, etc.

Connect with students’ values rather than their interests.
