Licensing of Electrical Installations
With over 1000 licences entrusted to us, QPM, headed by its Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) Ken Jung, liaises with its clients to ensure all electrical installations are in compliance with EMA’s requirements.
Frequency of Inspection
One-month interval for temporary electrical installations
Six-month interval for multi-tenanted buildings and condominiums
Twelve-month interval for high voltage installations* & Others
* electrical installations taking electricity supply at the voltage level of 6.6kV & above
Where the tenant’s applied electrical loading exceeds 45kVA, such installation shall be licensed by the tenant’s own licensed engineer.
The licensed engineer shall keep an up-do-date set of single-line drawings of the property for the purpose of maintaining current record of all modifications, rectifications, additions and alteration works to existing electrical installations and submit a set to EMA for records. He will also apply to or renew with EMA to obtain a licence to operate the electrical installation for a period of 12 months.
The Licensed Engineer shall provide 24-hour call-back service (fee chargeable) and shall expeditiously attend to all breakdown calls relating to the electrical installations at the property and give recommendations to the client.

Servicing of Electrical Installations
QPM has extensive experience in the maintenance of protection relays and servicing of High Tension (HT) switchgears and transformers as well as Low Tension (LT) switchboards. Our clients include organisations from the government, commercial, retail, industrial and residential sectors.
We maintain high voltage apparatus in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and EMA’s guidelines. Service logs will be provided for record purposes and to facilitate insurance claim. A comprehensive technical report comprising critical data and recommendations will be furnished after each maintenance work.
