ADULT BIBLE CLASS Sunday’s 9:30 in the Conference Room
The Gospel According to John "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." John 1:1-2 The Fourth Gospel describes the mystery of the identity of Jesus. John takes us behind Jesus’ ministry, where we get a glimpse of what it means to believe in Jesus as flesh of the eternal and living God, as the source of light and life, and for a believer to be a “Son of God.” It includes the basics of Jesus’ ministry—his preaching, miracles, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection.
Bible study will be led by John Strang and consist of Bible readings and supplemented with video from the Lumo Project.

Beginning … and beginning again During the coming weeks, as you or loved ones celebrate graduation, remember it isn’t a closed door, an end or a farewell. Instead, it’s an entryway threshold, a beginning, a hello — and one of many such opportunities that mark life. “God wants us to know that life is a series of beginnings, not endings, just as graduations are not terminations but commencements,” writes Bernie Siegel. “Creation is an ongoing process, and when we create a perfect world where love and compassion are shared by all, suffering will cease.” Of course, we can “create a perfect world” only by letting God guide our actions. So, dear graduates, may you partner with God to meet suffering with love, kindness and compassion through all the new beginnings of your life!
As you go on your way, may Christ go with you,
May He go before you to show you the way.
May He go behind you to encourage you,
May He go beside you to befriend you!
May He go above you to watch over you,
May He go within you to give you peace;
The kindergarten class has been collecting items for the Cystic Fibrosis Center at
the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. These items will be given to children with
cystic fibrosis that will come into the center for breathing treatments. They have
collected around 70 bottles of bubbles, over 30 jump ropes, and a variety of balls,
paint sets, hula hoops and other small toys. They celebrated their achievements
with a superhero themed picnic. Each superhero received their own cape and
mask/sunglasses and participated in the Superhero Training Academy.
