About Kertios Consulting
Why Kertios?
NetSuite as ERP system for future
Specific of NetSuite Implementation in Russia
Localization vs Integration
15
NetSuite as a single ERP system is localized for company requirements to
incorporate:
• Translations
• Specific local workflows and processes
• RU Master Data specific fields
• Development of add-ons based on local expertise
• Adaptations and reports adapted for local requirements
NetSuite is integrated with local accounting system like 1C in order to
synchronize data between systems and eradicate repetitive, bi-directional data
entry with the help of:
• Development of Integration flows
• Customizations in NetSuite for most critical features, if needed
• Support mapping tables for Master Data cross-references
NetSuite and local accounting system are used in parallel:
• data (Journal Entries, etc.) from local accounting system is imported to
NetSuite in the form of CSV files to General Ledger or AP, AR modules
Scenario 1:
NetSuite
Localization
Scenario 2:
Integration with
accounting system
Scenario 3:
Integration by CSV
files uploading
Scenario 1: NetSuite Localization. Advantages
16
Fixing standard of company business processes in one
system
Single ERP system: one source of data for corporate and
local reporting, for all kind of accountings IFRS/RAS/TAX
All business processes are executed on-line with no delays
into the system
Higher business transparency and clarity of business
processes steps
Unique corporate policies incl. accounting based on corporate rules for all areas
No additional cost for staff and other system support
Your business doesn’t rely significantly on
a local accounting system
Your corporate model requires full control
over implemented solution
Your business has strict corporate policies
incl. accounting
Your company’s stakeholders would highly
appreciate higher business transparency
When to consider?
Scenario 2: Integration with accounting system. Advantages
17
Financial and accounting data is secured in NetSuite
Key business processes will be moved to corporate
system
NetSuite Customization only for main business processes will
save cost of development and implementation
More independency from outsources (if there are any)
Your business is dependent from a local
accounting system (e.g. 1C)
Your business outsources accounting
services to a company that mainly uses
local accounting system
Your company has enough human
resources: accounting staff and support
for additional system, employees for
reconciliation execution, etc.
When to consider?
Scenario 3: Integration by CSV files uploading. Advantages
18
Cost saving for the development and maintenance
No impact from local Law changes including Primary
documents package
No changes on NetSuite side
Your corporate model heavily restricts
customization scope for NetSuite
Your business is dependent from a local
accounting system (e.g. 1C) or outsources
accounting services to a company that is
dependent
Your business is not sensitive to time
delays due to interfaces between both
systems
You have resources to maintain and
update data in 2 ERP systems (including
Master Data)
When to consider?

International Software CompanyDesign and Build of NetSuite ERP Russian solution
21
Context:
Following a series of acquisition and divestment transactions, this International
Software Company has started a major project to transform its global operating model
and prepare for future external growth. A new Information System footprint has been
created with NetSuite as the core solution for Extended ERP domain.
Extended ERP deployment in Russia covers the following functional process areas:
• Procure to Pay (P2P)
• Quote to Cash (Q2C)
• Record to Report (R2R)
• Bank and Treasury
Strategic Design and Detailed Design phases have been completed:
▪ Conduct Gap analysis against Russian legal requirements and propose
solutions;
▪ Create several application architecture scenarios and validate a NS/1C
integrated solution;
▪ Create Russia To-Be processes as a delta of core To-Be processes;
▪ Develop functional specifications of NetSuite customizations and 1C
integrations;
▪ Prepare and deliver a prototype for P2P and Q2C areas;
▪ Create Change Management Strategy;
▪ Create Data Migration and Test Strategies;
▪ Develop detailed Plan for Build Phase.
Next project phases (December 2019 – April 2020):
Build and Test phases
Selected application architecture:The validated version of Architecture is based on a partial localization of
NetSuite and its integration with 1C system. It also includes several integration
flows between 1C and other applications such as GTreasury (Bank and
Treasury) and Black Line (Reconciliations). In this architecture, it is expected
that: IFRS and Corporate accounting will be done in NetSuite;
RAS and TAX accounting will be performed in 1C.
Gap Analysis against Russian legal requirements has been realized and
solutions have been provided using change management, workarounds and
customizations approaches
Core To-be processes were updated to comply with Russian localization
requirements. Also several new Russian-specific processes were created: P2P domain (6 updated and 2 new processes impacted by RU localization)
Q2C domain (6 updated and 2 new processes impacted by RU localization)
R2R domain (14 updated processes impacted by RU localization)
CRP 2 prototyping sessions were prepared and conducted to validate
proposed architecture and demonstrate execution of Russian processes in
NetSuite.
Project Timelines:
Strategic Design Phase (May 2019) – Completed
Detailed Design Phase (June 2019 – November 2019) – Completed
Build Phase (December 2019 – April 2020) – Ongoing
Test Phase (May 2020 – September 2020) – Planned Phase
Go-Live Phase (July 2020 – January 2021) – Planned Phase (Go-Live on

International Software CompanyParticipation to the Audit of ERP and CRM corporate solution
Context:
Following a series of acquisition and divestment transactions, this International
Software Company has started a major change journey to integrate and transform the
global operating model and prepare for future external growth.
The first realized implementation project has failed and the corporate solution has not
transitioned to “business as usual” (BAU) operations due to the following reasons:
▪ Poor-performance;
▪ Higher-than expected costs;
▪ Requiring extensive remedial/critical care and management attention.
In this context, it was decided to conduct an audit of corporate solution to determine
the next steps for the future project success.
Audit objectives:
Conduct a quality assurance review of the previous project;
Perform a strategic review of the existing enterprise architecture against future
requirements;
Provide a ‘critical friend’ perspective;
Define a pragmatic way forward.
Participation to Quality Assurance Review in the following domains: Scope Management and Change Control Data Strategy, Data Architecture and Master Data Management (MDM) Testing Programme and the “Go – No Go” Decision Making Processes End to End (“E2E”) Solution Readiness Business Engagement and Organisational Readiness Programme Performance and Predictive Management RAID Management Enterprise Architecture Blueprint, Design and Deployable Solution Active Governance Frameworks and Reporting Sponsorship, Commitment, Engagement and Ways of Working (“WoW”) Leadership, Resourcing, Deployment and Subject Matter Expertise

applications, architecture and data
