Adding a new system to Hyperspin for Android:

Step 1: Make sure your drive is mapped as S:\ or none of this will not work.

Step 2: Download the official database (XML) for the system you want to add:

http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com/ Save it to your desktop

Step 3: Create your directory for your roms S:\Hyperspin\Roms\Sony Playstation\roms\

Make sure the folder matches the name of the official hyperspin system. Rom names don’t matter at

this point. We will match them to the database later.

Step 4: Launch Rocketlauncher from the Hyperspin folder:

Step 5:

Click the + sign and add a new system:

Step 6: Name it identical to the XML file. Tip, right click on the xml, rename it and copy the text so you

don’t have to type it out and possibly screw it up.

Step 7: Pick retroarch for the emulator.

Step 8: Pick your rom path:

Step 9: Select the database you download and select import. Click Finish and click ok.

You can now exit rocketlauncher

Step10: Go into S:\Hyperspin\Settings and edit Sega32.ini and also your new systems;s ini file. Example

Sony Playstation.ini

Copy all the txt from Sega32x.ini into Sony Playstation.ini. Make the identical.

Step 11: Close Sega32x.ini and change the rompath and also the system name:

Step 12 Match up main menu.xml and main menu_android.xml The system needs to be added to

android. Located here - S:\Hyperspin\Databases\Main Menu

Step 13: Add your artwork. Start with a default system theme and also a main menu theme. I use

hypersync since I have a platinum account.

Main Menu themes - S:\Hyperspin\Media\Main Menu\Themes\Sony Playstation.zip

System Default Theme: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PlayStation\Themes\Default.zip

Main Menu Wheel: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Main Menu\Images\Wheel\Sony Playstation.png

Main Menu Video: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Main Menu\Video\Sony Playstation.mp4

Game Wheels: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PlayStation\Images\Wheel\xxx.png

Game Letters: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PlayStation\Images\Letters\*.png

Game boxes: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PlayStation\Images\Artwork2\*.png or Artwork 4 depending

on theme

Game Videos: S:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PlayStation\Video\Crash Bandicoot.mp4 (Not all games have

videos, I have a custom video for games that do not have a video so it does look like crap!)

ALL MEDIA MUST MATCH XML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Step 14: Test your artwork. Launch Hyperspin.

Step 15: Edit The android settings for your system to set the emulator. Set the extensions, set the

emulator and core and also set filters. These are included in the base pack already for most systems.

S:\Hyperspin\Settings_Android

Step 16: Launch Hyperspin Checker from the tools folder: S:\Hyperspin\Tools\HyperspinChecker.exe

Set rom extensions and click update

Step 17: Click on Summary and click Check to do a inventory.

Step 18: Click on the Matcher tab. Set database to “without media” and set files to “unmatched”

Step 19: Now to rename our files match. Find the first game on the right side, and find the official name

on the left side which is the database.

Click Associate to rename it. Repeat the process for videos, wheels, artwork 2 or 4 etc. You can cut the

database down to USA if you want using Don’s hyperspin tools in the same folder as this tool.
