By 2005 – Faculty at ERAU are doing well in LMS adoption for distributing info via the web.

GOOD (90% or so)

“The students see technology right now as supplemental rather than transformative.”

(Statement from survey representative – Kvavik, Associate VP, University of Minnesota. Survey of 18,039 freshmen and seniors at 63 Institutions EDUCAUSE (ECAR study).

In the Transformative Category - (Adoption of eLearning Pedagogy) Only About 16% Adoption

We are in the “Needs Improvement” category.

“It is a miracle that curiosity survives a formal education.”

To Do’s (Con’t) Do good deeds …Give the gift of education especially in countries that are “elearning challenged.”

Some examples…….

Help teachers in Africa learn about elearning and how elearning can help to educate the millions there.

Combine this with an online expedition - take students and teachers from around the world with me.

Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls—South Africa
