Parent Portal - Codes• Ex = Excused• Abs = Absent• I = Incomplete• L = Late

• The assignment will be ignored for grade calculation.

• The assignment will be ignored for grade calculation due to an absence.

• The assignment will either be excused or will be given zero points.

• The assignment was submitted but too late for points.

What Can You Do?• Talk with your child about their day.• Work on organizational skills and time

management at home.• Inform school of special circumstances.• Volunteer to help.• Keep a calendar at home for long-term

assignments.• Check your child’s assignment book

regularly.• Don’t accept “I did it at school” when

asking your child about their homework.
