• Where is this money coming from? What isn’t going to be purchased instead?

• Campus partnerships?

• What restrictions will be placed on funding?

• Will funding be given for hybrid journals?• Will funding be given for authors who have funding from other sources?• What criteria will be used to assess which publishers will be allowed

students, Faculty, and/or Researchers (Post-Docs & others)• Authors affiliated get discounted APCs

• How it works:• The library pays a fee based on the number of articles /

memberships, n, it wishes to fund• The first n articles are published without charge to their

authors• Who offers it?

Direct BillingMemberships / Institutional Support (4)

• How it works:• The publisher sends invoices for all the APCs generated to the

library• Authors never have to see a bill

• Who offers it?

Infrastructure

• The Library pays a fee for:• Software Development• Hosting costs• People to maintain the platform
