Principal’s Message
PREMIER’S SPELLING BEE
We were so excited to have two of our students, Emilia (4M) and Fatimah (5C) compete in the finals of
the Premier’s Spelling Bee last Friday. Both students did extremely well with
Fatimah reaching the sixth round in the senior competition and Emilia
winning the junior one! Big congratulations to both girls and
special congratulations to Emilia for being this year’s junior champion!
THREE WEDDINGS AND
A BABY!
Over the last couple of months we
have had 3 staff weddings. I would like to congratulate Mr Denny, Mr
Martin and Ms Webb on their recent nuptials and wish them a long and
happy life with their respective partners. Mr Denny and Mr Martin will keep their names (;-)) and Ms
Webb will now be known as Mrs Klinkenberg.
This Friday will be Mrs Beard’s last day before commencing her maternity
leave. We wish her all the best as she enters this new phase of her life.
CANTEEN TENDER
Our school canteen tender is up for renewal. Please refer to the
advertisement on page 4 for further information.
MINI FETE
Preparations are in full swing for this year’s Year 6 Mini Fete that is being
held this Thursday. A reminder that the fete runs from 11am ‘til 1pm and
that school-age children who do not attend our school are not permitted to
attend. As it is a legal school day, school-
aged children must be in attendance at the respective schools. I thank you
in advance for your co-operation and support.

2019 CHANGE OF SCHOOL
A note went home last week asking you to notify us if your child/ren will not be
returning to our school in 2019. This note is a crucial part of our school
planning to ensure we have accurate numbers of staffing.
If you are yet to return this note and your children are not returning next
year, I urge you to return it as soon as possible.
