Online Exam with Remote Supervision

– Student User Guide

Before your exam

Before starting the exam on your scheduled exam date, please ensure to have validated your

system requirements. The following is the recommended system requirements:

NOTE:

You will not be able to take the exam if your system does not fulfill the given

requirements and you will lose your exam attempt.

In order to use the remotely supervised exam, you will need to grant the proctor control

over your computer. If you do not agree, please do register for an exam with physical

supervision in one of our 125+ exam locations around the world.

Have your exam environment ready:

o No loose paper or materials other than allowed should be on your desk;

o Close any non-related applications and software;

o Do not have multiple screens available. If you cannot disconnect your screens,

please cover them.

o Have a government-issued photo ID ready with you. Your supervisor will ask you

to show him/her a piece of government-issued photo ID.

To start your exam

1. Go to: http://training.iata.org/signinup. Once on the page, enter your Username and

password. Should you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here:

2. Click on “Open Course” under “Available Exams and Courses”. Make sure you are selecting

the course for which you have registered your exam today:

3. The icon will say “Status” until the time of your exam. You can click on “Status” to confirm

when your exam starts:

4. Refresh the page once the exam start time has reached. The “Status” button will change to

“Book/ Write exam”. Click on “Book/Write exam”:

5. You will be redirected to our onlineproctornow.com page, on which you should choose to

download the application:

7. Open the application:

8. Read through the terms and conditions and familiarize yourself with them. In order to

proceed with the exam, you will need to accept the terms and conditions:

9. You will now be connected to the proctor who will give you detailed instructions on how to

proceed:

10. After verifying your desk and your exam environment, the proctor will activate your camera,

microphone and communicate with you through the chat window:

11. You are now in your exam. Please do read through our exam terms and conditions and start

the exam:

12. You are now in your online exam. Make sure you answer all exam questions:

13. Once you have completed all exam questions, click on “Submit Exam” on the top right

corner of your screen:

14. You will now see your exam result:

15. Please speak into the microphone to inform your proctor that you have completed the exam.

The proctor will then disconnect from your computer.
