On Sundays, I work.

On Mondays, I wash my car.

On Tuesdays, I go to the bank.

On Wednesdays, I cook.

On Thursdays, I bake.

On Fridays, I buy food.

On Saturdays, I rest !

THE PRESENT SIMPLE

THE PRESENT SIMPLE : HE - SHE - IT

3rd person singular

In general:

The third person singular is formed by adding an s to the base verb.To work He works

In verbs ending in ss,x,ch,sh,o “es” is added in the third person singular.

To dress She dressesTo fix He fixesTo watch She watches T.V.To wash She washesTo go It goes !

In verbs ending in consonant + y

The y changes to “ies”To cry He cries.

The present simple : negative form

Negative formI, you, we, they don’t +base verbHe, she , it doesn’t+base verb

I don’t work.You don’t work.

He doesn’t work.She doesn’t work.It doesn’t work.We don’t work.You don’t work.

They don’t work.
