These are our classroom doors!

Tardy Policy

• If you are not inside the locker room doors by the time the bell rings YOU ARE TARDY.

• Report to the Tardy Table to get a pass.• If you return earlier enough you can change

for class. If you do not your belongings will be stored in a closet and you will receive no credit for the class.

Electronics

• No phones, IPods, MP3 Players, or any other electrical devices are allowed in the P.E. or Dance learning areas– Weight Room– Dance Room– Mini-Gym– Main Gym– Outside Fields

Food and Drink

• No food or drinks are allowed in the P.E. or Dance learning areas with the exception of water.– All food and drinks will be confiscated and

thrown away.

This includes the locker room

Book Bags & Purses

P.E. & Dance classes do not require a book bag or any materials that need to be brought to

class. All books and bags need to be locked in the locker room.

Hats

• P.E. is a hat friendly area as long as:– They are not a safety concern– They are appropriate for school– They do not create a distraction for learning

EACH TEACHER WILL DETERMINE IF YOUR

HAT MEETS THIS CRITERIA

Physical Education Standard #6

• Standard 6 Social Psychological Principles– Students will demonstrate the ability to use skills

essential for developing self-efficacy, fostering a sense of community, and working effectively with others in physical activity settings.

Uniform Grading Policy• Everyday you will be graded on a 5 point scale– Dresses in the OM uniform & wearing the proper shoes 5

points– Dresses in a portion of the OM uniform & wearing proper shoes

4 points– Dressed in clothing appropriate for physical activity but not the

OM uniform with proper shoes 3 points– Correct OM uniform but improper shoes 2 points– Appropriate clothes but not the OM uniform with improper

shoes 1 point– Refuses to wear proper clothes 0 points and phone call

home.

Reasons for not Dressing

• A note from a doctor that excuses you from ALL physical activity.– Concussion

• No other excuse is acceptable– Feeling sick– Sprained ankle– Broken hand, arm, leg– Note from parent– Menstruation

• You can wear sweat pants & shirt over your uniform when there is inclement weather.

Rental Uniforms

• If you do not have the correct uniform we will rent you appropriate clothes for the period– .50 cents per item– Must be returned at the end of class– If you do not have the money they will be given to

you and you will owe the P.E. Department the money.

This is not a choice. You must rent!

Daily Participation Grade

Every student is expected to participate to the best of their ability every class. Your daily grade will be a reflection of your effort as it relates to

your fitness goals.

principles of exercise physiology, social psychology, and biomechanics to design and adhere to a regular, personalized, purposeful program of physical activity consistent with their health, performance, and fitness goals in order to gain health and cognitive/academic benefits

• In the event that you are not dressed for activity, tardy to your learning area or in an area of the Physical Education Department without permission the following disciplinary action will be taken:

1st Offense- Warning2nd Offense- Warning

3rd Offense- Detention4th Offense- Friday Detention5th Offense- Saturday School

Tardiness is defined as arriving at your designated area after instruction or activity has started.

Next Class

We will dress for physical activity but it does NOT have to be the proper uniform.

-The proper uniform is needed by the end of next week.

-Rentals will begin the 4th class of the quarter.
