More about OFBCI’s new maps utility

• A collaboration between the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) and the OFBCI

• Provides structured volunteer activities as a component of the Indiana Hardest Hit Fund

• HoosierCorps divides Indiana into 12 regions, where community organizations organize and accommodate volunteers of all types as a provision of their housing assistance

HoosierCorps

• The goal is to have all 92 counties associated in multicounty, COAD partnerships

• COAD partnerships should work together on a regular basis, before, during, and after a disaster

• Specific objectives: • Inventory local resources (equipment, buildings,

personnel, subject-matter experts, etc)• Identify gaps in planning• Address gaps in planning

COAD Partnership Program

• Runs the Mitch’s Kids program, which is a partnership between the Office of the Governor and Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) statewide

• Mitch’s Kids focuses on homework help and tutoring• Mitch’s Kids works to help TANF eligible children ages

5-14• BGC looks for career exploration volunteers and other

volunteers for opportunities to work with youth• AmeriCorps host sites
