four years of mentoring and

support

Resident Educator Program

Resident Educator Summative Assessment

Ohio’s RESA is in the first year of implementation. Approximately 3,300 Year 3 Resident Educators are completing RESA tasks.

Resident Educator Program

The deadline for RESA task submissions has been extended to June 1, 2014 due to the inclement weather.

Resident Educators may re-take individual tasks of the RESA in Year 4.

Resident Educator Program

RESA Handbook is available on the ODE website and at: www.OhioRESA.com

Eligible resident educators in their third year may be registered for the assessment by their program coordinator or wait until their fourth year of the program.

Evaluation of the Resident Educator Program

Evaluation is being conducted by OERC.

ODE will distribute more than 25,000 surveys to Resident Educators, RE program coordinators, principals and RE mentors. Survey findings are used to make program improvements.

Evaluation of the Resident Educator Program

Initial evaluation findings over the RE program’s inaugural three years are forthcoming in the fall 2014.
