Within the Word - A well Formed Conscience
Folks, making big decisions isn’t always easy. We should always keep in mind,
our faith and our Catholic teachings when it comes to voting. All Catholics
should be guided by a well formed conscience. The Church teaches and em-
phasizes the importance of being ‘well-formed.’ Life’s hard enough as it is, we
don’t need to figure it all out; we can trust & have faith in Mother Church,
(who is an old Lady) to grant us the wisdom, understanding and grace to know.
Knowledge & gaining access to it, is the
key when it comes to forming our thoughts
& decisions in the right way. I mean, who
wants an ill-formed conscience? Exactly,
no one! So be aware of being closed mind-
ed; which can often lead to an obtuse
viewpoint and an ‘ill-formed’ conscience.
Voting for someone who supports evil; who’ll commit to, vote for & execute
orders against the natural law, is in itself morally sinful. Not directly, but indi-
rectly you could be falling into serious sin by supporting someone who sup-
ports slavery or sexual abuse. These are things that are against the natural law.
(meaning, anyone who can ‘naturally’ deduce in their minds that, A - slavery is
wrong, & B - sexual abuse is wrong. Slavery & Sexual abuse in any form are
gravely sinful. Supporting those who support these kinds of evils also leads
you to sin. Folks, even though we might not commit an evil act, we can still be
culpable with others & their evil acts, particularly intrinsically evil acts; like
euthanasia, slavery, polygamy, to name a few. So remember that some people
in high office support many evils, which are “Naturally” wrong, & Greatly
against God. So PRAY & make sure you have a ‘well formed’ conscience, it
will help and prevent you from falling into grave & even mortal sin.

Congrats to Kris & Tara Jo Swinehart!!
Friends, we’ve just celebrated the convalidation
and marriage, of Tara Jo Schwedrsky and Kristoffer
Swinehart. Both have also just celebrated their 3
year anniversary, along with growing their family;
Their beautiful daughter Sawyer is expecting to be-
come a sister! If you know the Swinehart and
Schwedrsky families, send them some love & pray-
ers. They’re a great St. Mary’s family & we wish
them the best as they begin this chapter in their
lives. They’ve come a long way in preparing for the
Sacrament of Marriage. May God bless you both!!!!

October is the Month of the Holy Rosary!
The Blessed Virgin Mary promised to Saint Dominic and to all who follow
that "Whatever you ask in the Rosary will be granted." She left for all Chris-
tians Fifteen Promises to those who recite the Holy Rosary.
Throughout the month of October we will publish the
15 promises in 4 parts because of their length.
9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory
in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me
in their necessities.
“To recite the Rosary is nothing other than to contemplate with Mary
the face of Christ.” -St. John Paul II

How should one vote? First start with your conscience and then follow through voting with your faith. Your faith should mold your conscience; it’s dependent on Christ, Church and all things true; that guide your personal convic-tions and ideals. The Catechism, Sacred Scripture, along with our
Christian identity help form our consciences as well. The teachings & values in ones life, should be re-flected in ones life choices, partic-ularly when it comes to voting. Making a big decision for any rea-son always starts with a con-science & listening to reason. Your faith should guide your heart & mind to decide. It is trust-ing God & voting for Him as well. WE are CHRIST! What is His vote?
