Oasis Lord’s Hill
Community Services Programme
May – August 2014
Message from Director of Community ServicesWhen Oasis established the Oasis Lord’s Hill Academy in September 2008 Oasis made a commitment to the local community to further develop existing Community Services on a ‘not for profit’ basis for the benefit of local people.
I am pleased to be able to tell you that our programme of Community Services has been expanding and diversifying year on year since then.
Over the last few years we have taken over the running of the ‘Down to Earth’ Community Farm at Green Lane, have moved and expanded our existing Pre School, have been able to offer additional facilities for hire and for clubs at the new Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill building, have entered into an agreement with Southampton City Council to continue the provision of community services from Green Lane and have continued with a programme of Adult and Family Learning opportunities.
We are also taking over the ‘Veni’ at the Coxford Adventure Playground in Olive Road and the Zoe Braithwaite Centre in Fraser Close. Within the next six months we will be offering a range of activities from these premises for local young people.
We work in partnership with a wide range of local organisations and charities, clubs and community groups and have received tremendous support, which we greatly appreciate, from many local people and our amazing team of volunteers who help us on a daily basis.
It is important to us that we try to meet the desires and needs of the local community and we are always delighted to consider new ideas for additional activities and new partnerships. If you would like to discuss any of the above, please don’t hesitate to contact me kate.bulpit@oasislordshill.org

Pre-school sessionsavailableto book now!
We know how much children learn in their first few years and how important it is to give them lots of attention. At home you’re already helping your child to talk, to think and to play. Good early years education can help to boost this even further by giving children the chance to spend time playing and learning with other children and trained adults.
