Year 1 Weekly Feature
This week the children
have continued to accli-
matise well to the Year
1 way of life. As you
can see in the pictures
we have been looking
closely at leaves that
we found on the com-
mon.
We have even used
them to help us create
our clay creations.
We will paint them in
autumnal colours next
week.
Year 1 Birch & Cherry
In English we wrote
questions for a special
visitor. He was Old
Brown, the owl from
‘Squirrel Nutkin’. We
then described Old
Brown with adjectives.

OASIS Year 2 Weekly Feature
Year 2 Maple & Rowan
This week year 2 have been learn-
ing about how Putney High Street
has changed. They compared past
and present photos and designed
their own high street shop.
In maths the children have been
learning about the place value of 2
digit numbers and have been parti-
tioning numbers in different ways.
Yesterday, Mrs Patel came into
school to tell the children about Di-
wali. She also showed them how to
create a rangoli and answered their
questions about the festival.

Year 3
Willow
This week we’ve continued learning about predators and
prey. We explored computer programming with the
BeeBots to escape some predators and learnt about car-
nivorous plants. Next week, we’re going to continue writ-
ing about predators and researching our own predators
to write about.

Hi all, a big welcome back to school from the PTFA. We are pleased to start of the new
school term with our first fund raising event, the annual PTFA sponsored walk at
Wandsworth Park, Saturday September 28th at 11:30pm. Children can do as many
laps of the park as they would like, up to a maximum of 5. There will be stamps to col-
lect along the way and a medal and fruit reward at the end. Sponsorship forms should
have gone home in book bags today, but spares will be available by the reception.
This is not only a great way to raise funds for our school, but also a great social event,
(for us as adults and for our children!) as we invite everyone to stay behind for a family
picnic.
We will need a few volunteers on the day to administer stamps and help to motivate the
children, so if you are interested please let your class rep know or email
ptfa1@oasisuk.org
We look forward to seeing you!!
