Conclusion: nutritional value IS affected by eCO2

• Leaf composition– Less leaf protein– Increased cyanide, relative to protein– Increase tannins, phenolics

• Soil environment is crucial

• Microbes important in nutrient acquisition…How will elevated CO2 affect these symbioses???
