BNL’s 3-piece ball valve design can be installed and serviced in less time than top loaded valves due to its intrinsically straight-forward design. All BNL valve designs are highly customizable to meet the specific needs of the end user.
• Size: 1/4” - 12”• Ends: Welded, FNPT, Flanged, Wafer, Union, Special• ANSI Class: 150 through 1700• Material: Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Al-Bronze, Titanium, Alloy 20, Hastelloy, AL-6XN,
Inconel, Monel• Seats/Seals: UHMWPE, Tefzel, PEEK, Viton “A”, EPDM, PTFE.• Operators: Lever, Hand-wheel, Gearbox, Pneumatic, Electric, Reach Rod Compatible
NUCLEAR BALL VALVES
BENEFITS• Serviceability: The center section of a three-piece ball valve is easily removed from the line for
servicing or replacement of parts with no special tools. Entire center sections can be replaced in minutes, getting your service back up and running.
• Affordability: The three-piece ball valve is the economical alternative to gate and globe valves, both in initial cost and life cycle costs.
• Versatility: Ball valves may be used for on/off service, for limited throttling with standard trim, and more extensive throttling with special trim.
• Configuration: The ability to have different end preparations eliminates the need for pipe re-ducers/expanders and allows for greater flexibility.
• Reliability: Ball valves provide bubble-tight sealing with little-to-no upstream pressure and their ease of operation makes them a highly reliable option in even the most demanding of situations.

BNL’s 3-piece design InLine Check Valve offers the best combination of benefits for critical ser-vice in nuclear power plants. The InLine Check Valve provides the user a simple, reliable solution for difficult applications.
• Tight Shutoff: Even at low differential pressures (dP), valves are tested and inspected for bubble tight seal prior to shipment. Air/nitrogen testing is performed when required.
• Easy Servicing: The removable center section contains four internal parts ensuring quick access and minimal maintenance.
• No-Slam Design: The spring loaded axial flow design ensures closure prior to flow rever-sal, avoiding check valve slam and water hammer.
• Self-Flushing: The InLine Check Valve is self-flushing and will not “gum up” and hang open, a common problem with piston checks.
• Reliability: Proven reliability through large-scale operating experience in various applica-tions over three decades and thousands of installations.

BNL’s innovative TwinLine Double Door Check Valve is designed specifically for the stringent requirements of nuclear power generation. The TwinLine check valve is a “drop-in” replacement for older API 594 duo-type check valves, with rugged simplified construction for longer service life and ease of maintenance.
The TwinLine check valve’s patented design features two individually-hinged outward-opening doors (discs). Each door is supported by a separate shaft, which then connects with two power springs biased to the closed direction. Because the hinges and springs are located outside of the flow path, the possibility of damage to these parts is greatly reduced. Furthermore, the springs are captured entirely by the valve, eliminating any possibility that springs can enter the pipeline.
