Proposed Change: 1. required guards shall be designed so that no member,

attachment or opening will facilitate climbing

• except for• industrial occupancies• where location and size of openings

do not present a hazard to pre-school aged children• less than 1.8 meter drop between surfaces• inside dwelling units
