Miss Jennings Plans Wedding
Miss Kate deForest Jennings,; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brewster Jennings of 770, Park avenue and Glen Head, L. I., has chosen March 1 as the date for her marriage to Harry Have-meyer Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Watson Webb of 740 Park avenue and Shelburne, Vt. The wedding will take place in St. Bartholomew's Church and a reception will follow the ceremony in the ballroom of the Colony Club.
Miss Mary Brewster Jennings will serve as her sister's honor attendant and the bridesmaids will be the Misses LIU Finletter, Anita Jacob, Joan Metzger. Florence Hunter, Margaret Elizabeth Chew and Ethel Jones. Two nieces of Mr. Webb, Dundeen Bostwick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dunbar Wright Bostwick, and Lila Wil-merding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Currie Wilmerding, will be flower girls.
The prospective bridegroom will have a brother, Samuel B. Webb, for his best man. Ushers will be another brother, J. Watson Webb Jr.; John Prentice Jennings, brother of the bride; Dunbar Wright Bostwick, John Currie Wilmerding, Thomas Redmond, Woodward Redmond, Whitney j Tower, Frederick H. von Stade, Avercll Clark, George Chase and Matthew Williams.
The bride-to-be is a granddaughter of Mrs. Oliver G. Jennings and the late Mr. Jennings and of the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. Prentice. She was graduated from St. Timothy's School, attended Sarah Lawrence College and made her debut a t the River Club in June, 1945.
Mr. Webb is an alumnus of St. Paul's School and studied also at Middlebury College. During the war he served a s a lieutenant with the Army Air Forces and was awarded the Air Medal. The bridegroom-elect is a member of the Racquet and Tennis and Meadow Brook clubs. The late Dr. and Mrs. William Seward Webb and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Havemeyer were his grandparents.
