Goulburnn-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au Week 8 Term 4
Principal’s Message A reminder that children are required to
wear full summer school uniform to school.
We understand that there are very few
school days left in the year and buying new
items may not be economical, however we
have some pre-owned clothing items availa-
ble, just ask at the office and they will try to
help you.
This week is NO DROWN TOWN WEEK.
The swim school has just finished and
teachers have commented on the great way
our students participated and the huge im-
provements they have made in their swim-
ming skills. Well done to those children who
took part and congratulations to the mums
and dads who saw it as a priority. The
swimming school causes a lot of disruption
to normal school routines, but it is well
worth it. Over 300 people lost their lives,
drowning in Australia over the past 12
months. I don’t wish for any of our children
to become one of these statistics. If your
child can’t swim, then they should be at-
tending swimming lessons as a priority.
The Fireworks committee have been busy
organising the 2017 Fireworks. They would
like to know if there are any families who
own their own businesses, or are in a posi-
tion of influence, to sponsor the Fireworks.
Every bit of help is greatly appreciated.

Last Thursday some children had the opportunity to
see the performance “Seussical The Musical”. It was a
fantastic day, the children were complemented on their
wonderful behaviour and got to meet some of the cast at
the end of the performance. Our very own Daina was in the
cast and we were extremely proud of her!
There will be another performance this week for the children
that attended the swimming scheme.
Teddy Bears Picnic
What a wonderful, yet windy, morning the children had for the Teddy Bears Picnic at school.
The children provided some delicious snacks for everyone to taste and brought their teddy bears and
favourite toys to help enjoy the morning.
Thank you to the parents who provided such a fantastic array of food for everyone to enjoy!
P & C Dinner
All are welcome to the Annual P & C Dinner on Monday 12th December at “La Casa Restaurant”. The
meeting starts at 6:30pm for the meeting and dinner will start at 7pm.

We are now taking bookings for term 1 2017, and have limited spots
for morning and after school lessons. The term dates are Monday,
30th January to Friday, 7th April. We also have limited spots for our
NeateAbility Club. (Swimming club for children with disabilities). If your
child has a disability don’t let them miss out on a skill for life.
There will be an intensive learn to swim program from Monday,
16th January to Friday, 20th January. The program will be run for
both school aged and pre school children aged between 3-5yrs. School
aged children $50 for the week ( 4group). Pre school children $75 for
the week (2 group).
We have recently installed an Ozone 1 pool purification system,
Which breaks down chloramines in the water, so your child will not get
red eyes or itchy skin. The system destroys irritants that cause
allergies, & eliminates odours & improves water clarity.
We are committed to provide a healthy
friendly environment for our students.
