The Second World: Empires and Influence in the New

Global OrderWritten by Khanna and published just three years ago, The Second World: Empires and Influence in the New Global Order shows how America’s dominance has been challenged by the efforts of the European Union and China to develop a new world order.

Khanna believes that the European Union and China are better suited for the future, and that the United States is suffering from a flawed infrastructure and excessive use of military force on a global level.

As a result of the Iraq war, he believes that the scale has been tipped in the favor of the European Union, all the while China has been expanding its global influence.
