Solar plant with energy storage “LES CEDRES”The purpose of the Project is to generate and sell electricity from a photovoltaic power plant coupled with an electrical storage system. The Project will be connected to the public power distribution grid (EDF SEI).
It will consist of 2 main elements:Scope 1: a solar power plant (SPP) (including solar panel, inverter, and transformer) delivering AC power at a variable output depending on the solar resources and,Scope 2: an Energy Storage System (ESS) consisting of batteries, inverter and transformer capable of both charging from, and delivering, AC power. A programmable logical controller (PLC) will allow for balancing the SPP generation and the PSS load, as well as dispatching the overall system’s generation to the grid so as to match its power demand and power quality requirements. A software layer, namely the Energy Management System (EMS), will link up the production forecasts data, active power instructions requested from the Grid, and the PLC.
