– Professionals with no more than 5 years of direct supervisory
experience

Summer 2012 Administrative Internship Program Since the initial program in 2006:
– Hosted 71 summer interns
– Hired 18 interns into full-time positions upon completion of degree programs
Summer 2012 – Offering several ten-week full-time paid internship opportunities
– Interns will work closely with senior management
– Past interns have worked in the following departments:

Administrative Internship – Candidate Profile 1st year students enrolled in MBA/MPH/MPA/MHA program
Healthcare work experience is a plus, but not required
Program is not open to any foreign national who must be sponsored to obtain or extend employment authorization to participate in, or accept employment following completion, of the program.

Internship Program Components – Assigned a mentor from the members of the Emerging Leadership
Council.
– Participate in one-on-one career information meetings with Senior Leaders at the Hospital
– Inside NYP Speaker Series- guest lectures
– Conduct a 15 minute presentation to senior leadership, highlighting contributions to the organization at the completion of the summer program.
– Participate in formal and informal networking events throughout the summer with other emerging leaders in the organization who have completed similar academic programs

2012 Internship Program Next Steps
– To apply, submit resume online via university’s system, or directly by emailing internship@nyp.org.
– Resumes must be submitted by January 10th, 2012
– Specific internship assignments will be finalized and shared in January/February with all applicants.
– First Round Interviews: mid January 2012
– Final Round Interviews at NY-Presbyterian: February 13, 2012
– Internship Start Date: June 4, 2012
