Jesus said ‘Love one another as I have loved you’. St Francis School is a loving community, respecting every child and adult and
caring for God’s world, as we help each other to do our best and grow
together in Christ.
Coffee Morning and Parents Forum
You are invited to join Mrs Ginzler-Maher and
Mrs Peear for coffee and questions on:
Monday 23rd March 2020
2:30 p.m.in the DT Suite at school
Please come along to the open forum with your
questions, suggestions and queries.
We look forward to seeing you.
School Council
Our School Council have decided to raise money for an Eco hut. We realise this will not come for
free, so any donations we get will help. We think this is a great idea because sometimes children
would like to reflect and pray, to think about things that may worry them and realise that things
will turn out ok. If anyone is feeling down they will be able to visit the Eco hut and it might help
by going there.
As you may know, our pond has dried up and is not really doing anything useful, so we would really
like to refill the pond. We are also thinking about putting a Sensory Garden next to the pond. Not
only this but we would like to raise money for a vegetable patch so we can grow some fresh food
for our school lunches and prove our skills by caring for Mother Nature. We know it’s a lot to ask
but please consider donating or offering your skills to help us create our Sensory Garden.
Thank you for your time and if
you have any comments or
ideas please report them to
the office and they will be
happy to tell members of the
School Council.

Jesus Teaches the True Meaning of the Law
(Matthew 5:20-22.27-28.33-34.37)
Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you, if your virtue goes no deeper than
that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of
heaven. You have learnt how it was said to our ancestors: You must not kill;
and if anyone does kill he must answer for it before the court. But I say
this to you: anyone who is angry with his brother will answer for it before
the court. You have learnt how it was said: You must not commit adultery.
But I say this to you: if a man looks at a woman lustfully, he has already
committed adultery with her in his heart. Again, you have learnt how it was
said to our ancestors: You must not break your oath, but must fulfil your
oaths to the Lord. But I say this to you: do not swear at all. All you need
say is “Yes” if you mean yes, “No” if you mean no; anything more than this
comes from the evil one.’

R.E. Ambassadors
On the 10th February the RE Ambassadors held an
assembly about God protecting us and how he is always
there. We read a story about a prophet named Elisha
who prayed to protect his people, God listened and
they won the war. This shows that God never leaves us
and how he protects his people.
Please continue to pray
for all those in our
school community in need
of our prayers.
