Stingers remained untied, un-beaten and unscored on after fourgames afer defeating Cow Har-bor, 3-0. in a Long Island JuniorSoccer League game lastweekend.

Two goals by Matt Griffith andone by Steve Bay on .assists by Bayand Harry Ruiz led the way.Strong defense by Bruce Meier,Scott Zucker , Mark Peterson,Paul Siegel and goalie Jay Blues-teine preserved the shutout.

Also with the same credentialsis the 1961 Hornets, who beat Gar-den City, 1-0, on a goal by MarkKoustantanou on a feed from RichBerkman. Fine games wereplayed by Bob Schaefer , PaulByrne, Mike Gould, Ray Cant-well, Alan Lightstone and EricBecker.

A 3-0 shutout over Massapequaalso advanced the 1964 Apollos inRegional Cup competition. Goalsby Steve LaRochelle , StephenMueller and Dan Feeney alongwith the fine play of Pete McNier-ney, Brian Vincent and John Rol-lins were instrumental in the vic-tory.^ The 1966 Rowdies were doublewinners, beating Brentwood, 4-1,and Deer Park , 1-0. Goals byLarry Dunn, Nino Chillemi, EricBrook and Mike Carroll led theBrentwood win, with fine play !?yRicky Posner, Bruce Goldstein,Mark Milowsky and goalies PaulAviles and Ed Okon. AdamHomler's goal won the Deer Parkgame, top performers Goldstein,Posner, Erik Wadehn, WilhemEskes and Aviles in goal.

The Apollos also won in leagueplay, beating Cold Spring Harbor,4-1. Dan LaRochelle scored twicewhile Reid Magid and Feeneyadded one each. Good perfor-mances were turned in by BillGourgey, Luigi Shettino and PeteLopez.

Other HBC winners were the1969 Raiders , 1-0 over Linrdenhurst; 1963 Lancers, 3-2 overDeer Park; and 1962 Demons, 2-1over Hicksville. "

Mike Martino scored the Raidergoal and the fine play oi SteveRandby, Vin Canecchia , JoshKugler, Kevin Gilf illan and. JohnHindinger preserved the win. Twogoals by Andy Triolo and one byStan Wasilewicz sparked the Lan-cers ; good games by DavidMcNierney and Peter Gould.Todd Trepass and Andy Living-stone got the Demon goals, goodplay by Olaf Wadehn and JoePappalardo.

Four games ended in ties. The1970 Hornets tied Bohemia, 0-0;the 1966 Panthers tied GardenCity, 1-1; the 1965 Daredevils tiedNorth Shore, 2-2; and the 1959Wildcats tied North Babylon, 2-2.

Sean Conroy, Kevin Ryan , DaveStone, Al Romano, BobSchumacher and Neil Siegel stoodout for the Hornets. Karen Fran-colini scored the Panther goal,with fine play by Christine Mar-tino, Tina Pedone, Lisa Healy andKathy Christman. Daryl Fitz-gerald scored both Daredevilgoals, assisted by Mike Aiello andAdam Falk, good games by TimDriscill and Steve Dias. Goals byButch Barzcik and Dwayne Beardearned the tie for the Wildcats,good games by Jim Bodkin, BillDunn and Dave Foxland.

Losers were the 1968 invaders,5-1 to Syosset; 1969 Rascals, 5-0 toEast Meadow; 1970 Cobras, 3-0 toBrentwood; 1967 Cosmos, 5-2 toGarden City; 1966 Cougars, 2-1 toHauppauge; 1964 Peppers, 2-1 toEast Meadow, and 1959 Rockets,1-0 to Northport.

Marty McNeill scored the loneInvader goal; fine games byGerard Corry, Jeff Susskind,Stephen Poole, Seth Grief andJason Saturino. Goalie Dan Van-nucci, Craig Lange, Jeff Suskinand Dave Kaskel played well forthe Rascals. Russ Ronda , SteveGattuso, Rick Valdovinos, JordanMeranus, John Winters , GregGoodman and Derek Brantleywere the Cobra standouts. 10 year-old girls — ChristineCotton scored two goals andCynthia Seidman another to leadthe Honeybears to a 3-0 win overthe Polarbears. Colleen Mahonand Jeanne Robinson assisted onCotton's goals while Seidman wasassisted by Elizabeth Weiss andMichele Norvito. Pamela Mar-shall and Justine McQuillenplayed fine games for the win-ners. BsuriTurtel, LisaBonasera,Megan McCarthy, ChristineCanavan , Claudine Cilia andKathy Fox stood out for the Polar-bears. Kellie Carey scored thelone goal for the Koalabears, wholost 6-1 to the Teddybears, withfine games by Karen Carey,Meryl Cohen, Karen Kaplan andAndy Winters. Elizabeth Slack,Anita Perla , Suzanne Shiff ,Rachel Leff ing well, JenniferMarshak and Michele Grossmanstood out for the Sunbears, whoplayed a scoreless tie against thePandabears.

Freshman Girls — The Sand-pipers, Bluejays and Woodpeck-ers were winners; Sandpipers de-feated the Canaries, 2-0; Bluejaysover the Roadrunners, 1-0, and theWoodpeckers beat the Catbirds,3-2. Jill Weinberg and Julie Feld-man scored for the Sandpipers,Dawn Munno assisting on one,with fine play by Tiffany Bybel,Elizabeth Delia and DawnUzakewicz. Karen Bartaletta,Ann Tine , Meg Wilson andMichele Wolf stood out for theCanaries. Susan Kotraba's goalwon it for the Bluejays, .finegames by Cheryl^ Lynch, SusanMeekin and Pat Lutz preservingthe win. Maureen McNeill, Christ-ine Molloy , Michele Rullman,Elizabeth Walter and goalieMichele Lombardo played wellfor the Roadrunners. MaureenKelly scored all three goals for theWoodpeckers on assists by Jen-nifer Swartz, Valerie Johnson andCherrie Schneiderman. ChristineCorry scored both Catbird goals.Standout players were GabrielleGuercia, Lori Sparer and DebbieKirinsic for the winners; KristenScott, Christie Panker and JaimieEpstein for the Catbirds.

Junior Girls —All games endedin shutouts. The Hawks beat theVultures, 1-0; Owls blanked theEagles, 2-0; Buzzards edged theFalcons, 1-0; and Ravens de-feated the Condors , 1-0. LisaScharff converted a corner kick.by Kim Fredericks for the Hawkgoal, Anne DiBenedetto also get-ting an assist. Stacy Poltz, JulieHolub, Karen Mathiasen andMaria Gambaro stood out for theVultures . Chris Mackewiczscored both Owl goals, assisted byLisa Rosen, fine play be DebraFishbach, Elaine Poggi, Jill Poz-nick and Cynthia Paulis. SuzanneDelia, Jennifer Hsirper and CathyBussolini stood out for the Eagles.Brilliant play in goal by RoxanneGersh, fine play on defense byAnne Marie Brunner and JodiHorowitz plus Kim Arena andSuzanne Flynn on offense, led theBuzzards. Mary Saehner, AnneSaurman and Debbie Sheehanplayed fine games for the Fal-cons. A goal by Colleen Conroywon it for the Ravens, with goodplay by Ann Sorenson and ReneeCole. Goalie Loren Wyenerib ,Jody aSchulsinger and Jill Ploskywere the Condor standouts.

5-6 year-old boys —Three goalsby Danny DeTolla and one each byHans Schreiber and Chris Morrisled the Beetles to a 5-0 victory overthe Wasps. Steve Wagner , RoySwensen, Brian Kurlan and ScottGarrison played well for the win-ners as did Mike Anselmo, ChadBrecher, DarreiTGassman, MitchKirschner and Zack Farber forthe Wasps. In another game, ScottGoldberg's goal gave the Gras-shoppers a 1-0 win over the Crick-ets. Ken Winnkelman picked upan assist, good games by DaveCapell , Phil Lundmer. Chris

Zourides and Larry Bohm. TomSmith, Glenn Teman, Joel Vin-cent, Mike Weim and Rich Ziskinstood out for the Crickets.

7 year-old boys — The Jaguars,Pumas, Tomcats , Wildcats ,Kingcats and Bobcats all postedshutout victories. Brian Hannafinscored the goal while Biran Mer-cier , Chris DeNaso, PaulCaramagno and Stu Brillantplayed fine games to lead theJaguars to a 1-0 win over theCougars. Kerry Flynn , ChrisLaCava, Steve Gendel and MikeBroshowski stood out for the los-ers. Goals by John Coffey, KevinWeiss .and Andy Costa helped thePumas to a 3-0 victory over theleopards. Even Rullman had anassist, a good game by Matt Mor-roll. Two goals by Danny Giaimoand one by Mark Sanders liftedthe Tomcats to a 3-0 win over thePanthers, with fine play by MikeBloomberg, Eric Klee and BradTyger. Keith Futerman's goalearnedt the Wildcats a decisionover the Tigers; good games byDave Lessing, Mike Kovitz, BruceBerger, Ross Goldstein and DanScher. 14 year-old boys —It was allshutouts as San Antonio beat Port-land, 3-0; Oakland .over San Jose,2-0, while Los Angeles and Seattlebattled to a scoreless tie.
