Rx guide and scan protocol for partially edentulous cases (Dr. Gross)

Cast with LEGO bricks

Cast with LEGO bricks and wax up

Rx guide made of VOCO curable custom tray material

Radiographic markers in rx guide made from composite material

Rx guide and scan protocol for partially edentulous cases (Dr. Gross)

1. Optical scan of cast with 3 LEGO bricks

2. Wax-up on this cast optically scanned

3. Removal of wax-up, fabrication of rx guide out of e.g VOCO curable custom tray material

4. 6 radiographic markers by indenting with small round bur, distributed on rxguide, filled with radio-opaque material like guttapercha, Cavit or composite material

CT or CBCT scan protocol for partially edentulous cases (Dr. Gross)

1. Scan of patient with rx guide in mouth

2. Scan of rx guide on original cast with LEGO bricks (of which optical scan was performed before)

This way we achieve a perfect alignment of intraoral situation and planned tooth

position, very easy but extremely effective
