With support from the BioInnovation Center, Louisiana biotechnology entrepreneurs have achieved: - 65+ companies formed - 205 new jobs created - $24.1 million raised The BioInnovation Center has released its FY2014 Annual Report, which includes details on the Center’s programs, services, and impact on Louisiana’s economy. Opened in 2011, the New Orleans BioInnovation Center now houses 34 growing Louisiana companies. To support technology entrepreneurs, the Center offers free business assistance, educational events, and a loan program for companies seeking to grow and create new jobs. Through these programs, the Center has assisted over 110 entrepreneurs, hosted 45 events, and invested over $1.65 million in loans to 10 growing companies.
