Highlights from first three Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) years:

Delivered 25,985 newborns to NM mothers

Provided $389 million in charity and uncompensated care

Scored fifth highest

of 31 participating states in meeting the CMS HEN trends and

established benchmarks

Reduced overall harm rate by 50%, preventing approximately 3,152 harms during the course of the initiative, with a savings of approximately

Note: The rural/frontier delivery model is intertwined with the larger New Mexico health care system; all hospitals and health systems may benefit from this process.
