1. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FAMILIAR WITH, REFER TO, AND COMPLY WITH ALLLOCAL CODES. ALL MECHANICAL WORK SHALL COMPLY IN EVERY RESPECT
WITH THE LATEST EDITIONS OF THE NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL
BUILDING CODES, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, AND ANY ADDITIONALREQUIREMENTS OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
2. DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY AND SHALL NOT BE SCALED. THEY
ESTABLISH DESIGN INTENT AND ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE DETAILED
INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW IN

6. CAREFULLY EXAMINE THE DRAWINGS OF OTHER TRADES. COORDINATE THEELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS OF ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT WITH THE
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. AN APPROVED FIRE STOP SYSTEM SHALL BE

6. CAREFULLY EXAMINE ALL DRAWINGS OF OTHER TRADES. COORDINATETHE ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS OF ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT WITH
THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. TYPE B OR C DYNAMIC FIRE DAMPERSSHALL BE INSTALLED AT ALL PENETRATIONS OF WALLS OR FLOORS
DENOTED TO BE FIRE SEPARATIONS ON THE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS.
7. A MEANS OF BALANCING ALL SUPPLY AND EXHAUST TERMINALS USINGDUCT MOUNTED BALANCING DAMPERS SHALL BE PROVIDED. A TERMINAL
BALANCING DAMPER SHALL BE PERMITTED WHEN A DUCT MOUNTEDDAMPER WOULD BE INACCESSIBLE OR UNDESIRABLE.
8. THE USE OF FLEXIBLE DUCT WORK SHALL BE U.L.C. LISTED AND LIMITED TOONLY CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DUCT BRANCHES AND DIFFUSERS, AND
CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DUCT BRANCHES AND VARIABLE AIR VOLUMETERMINAL UNITS AND SHALL HAVE A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 5 FT WHEN
FULLY STRETCHED.
9. ACCESS DOORS SHALL BE PROVIDED AS REQUIRED TO SERVICE DAMPERSAND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT.
10. THE FINAL LOCATIONS OF GRILLES, REGISTERS AND DIFFUSERS SHALL BE
COORDINATED ON SITE WITH THE FINAL CEILING LAYOUT AND THE
EQUIPMENT OF OTHER TRADES.
11. A RETURN OR RELIEF GRILLE SHALL BE INSTALLED IN EACH SPACE THAT ISPROVIDED WITH SUPPLY AIR.
12. ELECTRICAL OR CONTROL WIRING INSTALLED WITHIN ALL PLENUMS SHALL
BE FT-6 RATED AND HAVE A FLAME SPREAD RATING BELOW 25 AND A
SMOKE DEVELOPED RATING BELOW 50 WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE

13. ALL DUCT WORK AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSULATED TO THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE LATEST EDITION OF ASHRAE 90.1. ALL DUCT WORKWITHIN 10' (3M) OF THERMAL ENVELOPE PENETRATION AND ALL DUCT
WORK CONTAINING OUTSIDE AIR SHALL BE THERMALLY INSULATED.
14. ALL SIZES OF DUCTWORK INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS DENOTE THE

GENERAL NOTES - ROOF PLAN
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FAMILIAR WITH, REFER TO, AND COMPLYWITH ALL LOCAL CODES. ALL MECHANICAL WORK SHALL COMPLY IN
EVERY RESPECT WITH THE LATEST EDITIONS OF THE NATIONAL,PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL BUILDING CODES, NFPA, ASHRAE,
SMACNA, AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE LOCALAUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
2. DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY AND SHALL NOT BE SCALED.THEY ESTABLISH DESIGN INTENT AND ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE
DETAILED INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS. MECHANICAL CONTRACTORSHALL ALLOW IN THEIR CONTRACT PRICE ALL COMPONENTS

8. GAS PIPING SHALL BE BLACK STEEL TO ASTM A-53 SCHEDULE 40, 150 LB.STANDARD BLACK MALLEABLE IRON SCREW FITTING FOR SIZES BELOW
212". ALL MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION SHALL CONFIRM TO ALL
REQUIREMENTS OF THE LATEST EDITION OF CSA B149.1 NATURAL GAS
AND PROPANE INSTALLATION CODE AND ALL LOCAL GAS NOTICES.

SITE. INSTALL AS PER MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS.
THERMALLY INSULATE RAIN WATER LEADER FROM ROOF DRAIN
AND ROOF DRAIN BODY. REFER TO PLUMBING DRAWING FORCONTINUATION.
PROVIDE AND INSTALL CONDENSING UNIT FOR USE WITH
ASSOCIATED EVAPORATOR .
B-VENT FROM PIZZA OVEN THROUGH ROOF IN ACCORDANCE
WITH MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS AND TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
COMMUNITY ROOM VENT THROUGH ROOF IN ACCORDANCE
WITH MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS.
REINSTALL RELOCATED OVEN EXHAUST FAN ON NEW ROOFCURB.
THERMALLY INSULATE AND HEAT TRACE RAIN WATER LEADER
