POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Group Fitness Director Reports To: Direct: Owner / General Manager Indirect: Owner / Director of Fitness Services Supervises: Direct: Group Fitness Instructors Indirect: Pilates Instructors and Front Line Club Staff Work Schedule: Part time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. Daily schedule will

vary throughout the week depending on responsibilities and class schedule. It should also allow interaction with morning and evening instructors and members. Special events, promotions, and other demands of the department will require occasional early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

Team TELOS Do your individual best at all times to help TELOS achieve its�’ mission of Commitment: �“providing comprehensive fitness services of the highest quality to help

individuals reach their wellness goals in a culture of comfort and class�”. Also, to promote and support TELOS�’ Core Values; Customer Service, Collaboration, Credibility, Professionalism, and Positive Attitude in their day-to-day interactions with members and staff.

General Act as Department Director to achieve overall club goals and Responsibilities: support the financial success of TELOS. Provide departmental leadership

including strategic group exercise programming, supervision of class instructors, member participation initiatives, special programs and events, and performance to budget.

Essential Duties: 1. Work with General Manager to develop and review group exercise program

goals and implement plans to achieve them. 2. Coordinate delivery of group classes for aerobics, cycling, aquatics, and

Pilates. 3. Create, design, and market special programs and events.

4. Develop an annual budget for the department and manage budgeted revenues

and expenses.
