How to foster the future growth

No internal market for nautical services:We deserve a better, harmonised regulatory and fiscal framework to operate across Europe

Member States and EU need to recognise the particularities of our activity and support its sustainable development

European Boating Industry is committed to work with policy makers to achieve these important long-term objectives

EESC Seminar on Maritime Industries – Athens, 12 May 2014

How to foster the future growth

Key European boatbuilders concerned by lack of financing opportunity in Greece

 No leasing only credit

Sailboat rental increase ( 18 weeks instead of 16,5 two years ago) NOT sales

High taxation on any pleasure boat compared to professional ones

Real opportunity to double the boat business in Greece near 2000 units/year, means jobs, higher revenues….

Sales & rental structures exist and are pretty good

 Financing/leasing is the answer!
