My Leadership Journey
By: Kayla Lynch
MY FAMILYMy family is the most
important thing to me.They have greatly
influenced who I am as a person.
My mom taught me the importance of family and education.
MY MOMMy mom always asked my siblings and I about
our days at school in order to illustrate the importance of family.
Doing well in school was always a priority in my house when I was growing up.
My mom made sure I did my homework and helped me if I had any questions.
She always stressed the importance of getting good grades and going to college.
MY FRIENDS
My friends have taught me to work hard at everything I do.
They have told me to be the best I can be.
They give me advice, I always know that I have someone to talk to.
My closest friends always know how I am feeling, whether I am happy or sad.
KEY EVENTMy best friend, Jackie, has always supported
me in everything I do. Last semester I had to decide if I wanted to
transfer to the U of M, Twin Cities from Morris.
Jackie was my roommate in Morris and she helped me make my decision. She told me that I needed to do what was best for me and that she just wanted me to be happy.
ABOUT MEI started figure skating when I was eight years old. I experienced leadership in skating.
Leadership Is…The act of inspiring others to follow someone
else’s path; using passion and personal stories to guide others.
