Introduction

Ghana is a country located in West Africa. The largest artificial lake is in Ghana and is called Lake Volta. The word Ghana means warrior King. There are many more interesting facts in this presentation hope you enjoy!!!

History

Ghana was first called Gold Coast due to it’s amount of gold. The country became Ghana in 1957 after it gained independence. The country’s first president was Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who was born in 1909.

Weather

Ghana is known for having a tropical climate because it’s near the equator. Between April and June, Ghana is at it’s wettest. November to March and July and August are it’s driest months.

Most of the chocolate you eat is probably produced by Ghana cocoa. Ghana has been growing cocoa since the mid 19th century.

Football

Ghana’s national football team is called BlackStars. They have won the Africa Cup Of Nations four times. Their best win is 13-0 against Kenya in 1965.
