• Dr. Zahiri Hawass Chief of the Supreme Council of Antiquities said that mummy of the 3,000-year-old boy king would be displayed to the public after it had been restored.

• Humidity and heat caused by tourists entering the tomb in Luxor would harm the mummy.

• Tutankhamen's body is entirely wrapped in strips of white linen, except for his face.

• 8. During the 1980s and 1990s, scientists extracted DNA from mummies in hopes of gathering information about ancient Egyptian patterns of settlement and migration, as well as information on diseases and genetic characteristics.
