Dear Parents/ CarersFundraising for Drought Affected FamiliesAs a fundraising initiative, Bingara Central School came up with an idea called ‘A Little Bit of Help from My Friends’. On the 22nd August, 2018, the children were encouraged to come to school dressed as a farmer and offer a gold coin donation. Mullumbimby Public School raised approximately $350 for this initiative. The donations were given to the drought relief group in Bingara that has been collecting non-perishable food and fundraising for our affected farmers. Well done MPS!School Tours – Kindergarten 2019Two school tours with the principal have been placed on the calendar for new families who will be joining our school community next year in Kindergarten. purchase resources for our school including books, stationery and other items required in the classroom to help with your children’s education.AbsencesA note for unexplained absences will be issued this week. Could you please fill out the required areas and return this note to your classroom teacher. Research states if a student misses as little as 8 days in a school term, by the end of primary school they’ll have missed over a year of school.Felicity HendersonRelieving Principal
