Creating a Document Scrap allows you to repeatedly paste a selected amount of information throughout a document and/or between most programs without having to constantly “copy and paste” or use the clipboard.

Step 1: Highlight the selected text or image.

Step 2: Drag it over to your desktop. A “Document Scrap” will be

created for you.

Step 3: Right-click on the scrap to rename it for easier identification.

Step 4: Continue to make as many scraps as needed.

Step 5: To use a scrap, click on it and then drag it to where you would like it to be inserted.

All done!

Document Scraps are simple to use and a great way to copy and paste. You can use scraps for repeated passages in comments, letters, and emails!

The Replace feature can also be used effectively with scraps in all of your writing projects and correspondence with others.

Go ahead and get started!
