The Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) program is administered by the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, a branch of the Office of the Secretary of Defense
The DPAS software application is serving the logistical needs of three major military branches and a significant portion of the Department of Defense. Currently, over 2 million assets, in excess of 672 billion dollars, are being managed by DPAS
Currently supports four Business Areas:
Property Accountability
Maintenance and Utilization
Supply Store
Warehousing
DPAS Support Site: http://dpassupport.golearnportal.org
The Warehousing module will initially be fielded to replace USMC’s Contractor supplied Personal Gear warehouse / issue system. Subsequent releases will replace USMC’s Suite of Software supporting the warehousing / issue of PEI, Weapons, CCI and Optics.
The Marine Corps currently utilizes DPAS to account for its mobile assets, and UIC level personal property assets, and to fiduciary account for military equipment acquisitions.
