Seth Riley with the National Park Service holding P-32 one of three

mountain lion kittens born in the Santa Monica Mountains.

P-32, the male mountain lion kitten, sniffs at the camera.

P-19 was photographed in mid-February with her two

nearly grown kittens, P-32 and P-33, eating a deer carcass.

Mountain lion mom P-19 peeks at the camera.

That's Mom P-19 in the foreground and P-33, a female,

behind her. Note the ear tags.

P-33, a 16-month-old female mountain lion, was photographed with a deer kill recently in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. She ate for about an hour before her mother and brother showed up.

P-33 photographed while feeding by the National Park

Service, using a remote camera.

P-33 "looks younger and more fluffy in this photo," the

National Park Service said on Facebook.

The NPS notes: "Mountain lion tongues are specially adapted and covered in tiny papillae, which are small backward-curving spines that help remove hair from the hide and scrape meat from the bones. “
